On Saturday it’s manager Sidney Oliver’s birthday bash at West End – everyone gets to join the party and it’s FREE!
There will be a host of artists celebrating Sidney through music, including seven-piece band Major 7 SA. Also definitely on the bill is Phaze2 Band, Abigail Bagley, Salome Damon and Can Skylark.
But this is uncle Sid’s 53rd birthday jol, so expect to see many more artists rocking up on the night for impromptu performances, all in appreciation of Sidney’s valuable contribution towards the upliftment of the local music industry.
The party starts at 7.30pm so make sure you arrive early to get a lekker spot.
Cape Flats celeb brothers Loukmaan and Emo Adams are back with brand new material for their show Brother Love 2, taking place on Sunday at 6pm at the Joseph Stone Auditorium.
The bros take their fans down memory lane and give a rare look into their humble upbringing in Mitchells Plain before becoming the most well-known siblings on the Flats.
As a special treat, some members of their family will also put in an appearance.
Watch out for Mrs Adams at her Zumba classes while Mr Adams, founder of Kinders van die Ses theatre group, soldiers on with his variety concerts in the Civic hall.
The two daddies also give some advice on the pajama drill.
As always there is a special guest and this time round it is their friend, the talented Mono Dullisear who has a rich history with Loukmaan and Emo.
Together they shared many stages around the world and at home.
Mono was also a member of the popular JAG and as a trio their voices quite simply lift the roof, under the direction of the evergreen Mr Basil Appollis.
Tickets cost R120 and the show starts at 6pm.
