But now Brad Pitt is a new man.
The Ocean’s star is featured on the cover of GQ and looks fitter and more streamline than he has in years al smile hy nie op een van die foto’s nie.
Speaking of life after his divorce, Pitt told GQ he slept on the floor of his friend’s Santa Monica apartment following the split, that he replaced alcohol with “cranberry juice and fizzy water,” and that he didn’t expect to be making sulke headlines again at the age of 53.
“It was too sad to be here at first, so I went and stayed on a friend’s floor, a little bungalow in Santa Monica. I crashed over here a little bit, my friend [David] Fincher lives right here. He’s always going to have an open door for me, and I was doing a lot of stuff on the Westside, so I stayed at my friend’s house on the floor for a month-and-a-half…”
He said he’s been sculpting, working with “clay, plaster, rebar and wood”.
“I’ve been going to a friend’s sculpting studio, spending a lot of time over there. My friend [Thomas Houseago] is a serious sculptor. They’ve been kind. I’ve literally been squatting in there for a month now. I’m taking a s*** on their sanctity.”
Pitt admits he loves wine, but doesn’t want to “live that way anymore”.
“I mean, we have a winery. I enjoy wine very, very much, but I just ran it to the ground. I had to step away for a minute. And truthfully I could drink a Russian under the table with his own vodka. I was a professional. I was good.”
Pitt says he couldn’t remember a day since after college when “I wasn’t boozing or had a spliff, or something”.
He says it is “part of the human challenge” to deal with feelings, adding: “You either deny them all of your life or you answer them and evolve.”
