Lentil stew


500g lentils

2kg steak

3 onions, sliced

4 cloves of garlic crushed

8 potatoes

Pepper to taste

6 cloves, crushed

4 beef stock cubes


Brown the onions and garlic in some oil and add the meat, braise until meat is soft (about 35 minutes) and add the potatoes, pepper and cloves. The lentils have to be pre-cooked in a pot of water, drained and rinsed. Add this to the meat and potatoes and also add the beef stock cubes. Turn heat on stove down to a simmer and cook for 10 mins.
