Comic Queens

Mel Jones and Tracy Klass

Female festival of laughter at the CT Comedy Club.

In the Spirit of Women’s Month, the Cape Town Comedy Club is hosting an All Women Line-Up this weekend.
Come share some chuckles with the queens of comedy – Mel Jones, Tracy Klass, Shimmy Isaacs, Angel Campey and Claudine Ullman.

The female fest of laughter is on every night until Sunday, so make your way to the CTCC at the V&A Waterfront.

The shows starts at 8pm and R120 gets you in.

On Sunday it’s even cheaper, at only R50.

FYI, leave the kids, and your sensibilities at home because comedians are not censored and mense have been warned, you will be offended if you’re a sensitive soul.

Just be lekker man and you’ll enjoy the show.

People, matric ball season has arrived but as we know by now, not everyone is by the means to afford that beautiful ball gown or smart suit.

Three matric learners in Mitchells Plain will be the lucky beneficiaries of an event aimed to raise funds for their matric balls.

The deserving learners – Miskah Isaacs from Oval North High, Devonsha Collins from Portlands High and Qornita de Roos from Westridge High – were handpicked by Cheslyn Lean who is the director of CK Productions.

BELLES: Miskah, Qornita, Cheslyn and Devonsha

Cheslyn, 22, from Mitchells Plain, is providing the girls with dresses, transport, a tafel at home and also their tickets to their balls.

The fundraiser takes the form of a pageant, and Saturday Mr & Miss Gay Africa will take place at Westridge Civic Centre in Mitchells Plain. Tickets cost R50.

To become a sponsor, for ticket or any queries relating the event, please contact Cheslyn via email cheslynlean19@gmail.com or WhatsApp 071 983 2739.
