Hundreds of Cape Flats mense joined the Relay against Racism walk at Vygieskraal in Athlone on Saturday.

The Mitchells Plain Marching band led the march round the track 22 times – symbolising 22 years of democracy – while people waved their South Africa flags.

Singer Salome, MEC for Arts, Culture and Sport Anroux Marais and Suzette Little the Mayco member of Social Development joined the event.
