There were bargains galore on offer at a fun day event organised by the Riversdale Street Committee in Portlands in Mitchells Plain.

The initiative aims to empower the community by exposing their home-based businesses to the public.

Learners from the Harvester Primary school drill squad showed off their marching skills at the open day.

For the bargain hunters there was a variety of goods to choose from, while those with a sweet tooth enjoyed cakes and koeksisters.
