The jol was vol en almal was there to celebrate the man who keeps the party going at West End nightclub in Rylands.
Manager Sidney Oliver turned 52 and he invited mense to his celebration on Saturday.
There were lekker snacks and drinks on arrival to give guests enough vooma to jol up a storm on the dance floor.
Nina van Diva from Thornton used to work at both West End and Galaxy and says she returns every year for Sidney’s birthday bash.
“Oh yes, this is the only party to be at tonight,” she says.
After the welcome drinks and snacks, the party got under way in true West End style with couples jazzing on the iconic dance floor.
Leticia Julies from Elsies River says she couldn’t wait for the party to start.
“I looked forward to this die hele week,” she says.
And it all started with a special rendition of Happy Birthday for Sidney, sung on stage by Candice Thornton.
She then had everyone singing along and dancing as she started her set with the song Still A Friend of Mine.
By the time Candice was singing 100 Ways, the party was in full swing and almal was having a jol.
She told the crowd: “We’re all still going to be here at 3am!”
The mense danced and partied the night away and many agreed they can’t wait for next year to do it all again.
