GO FLY A KITE: In Muizenberg

Spoilt for choice with weekend festivities.

It’s the weekend, which means that there’s a party for any mood and any budget.

The annual Cape Town International Kite Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday at Muizenberg.

Bring the kids to make their own kites and fly it or just enjoy the colourful sky show.

Entrance for adults is R30 and R10 for kids, and the proceeds go to Cape Mental Health.

It is officially spring so there’s no better time than this weekend to check out the Cape Town Flower Show taking place at the Castle of Good Hope.

Catch Masterflorists in action, view the beautiful show garden, enjoy a bite to eat in the food and drink tent and come check out everything you could ever need for your tuin.

Entrance cost start at R50 to see the demos, but you have to pay extra R150 — if you want access to more of the gardening treats. Gates open at 10am on Saturday and Sunday.

And if you’re looking for a musical treat this weekend, then check out The Luther Vandross & Peabo Bryson show on at the Joseph Stone Auditorium tonight and Saturday night at 8pm.

The show features singer Ekraam Cupido and the group Souljourn as they pay tribute to these two musical greats.

Tickets are R120 and available at the door or by calling 073 729 3807.
