Maimane: Resign, or face a Motion of No Confidence

Opposition parties united in their calls for President Jacob Zuma to step down after the release of the State Capture report.

DA leader Mmusi Maimane says: “If Zuma will not resign, we look forward to the DA’s Motion of No Confidence in President Zuma being debated in Parliament in the coming weeks.”

EFF leader Julius Malema applauded the release of the report, saying: “The most worrying thing … is the Public Protector says the president must appoint a judge who’s going to preside over a judicial commission, but what’s satisfying is that the Public Protector says that judge must be the only judge recommended to the president by the Chief Justice.”
