It’s the weekend, so it’s time to have some mid-month fun.
The NARO Conversations series continues “Live in Athlone” on Sunday at 7pm with Tony Cedras, Jack Momple and guest Bojali with his talking drums.
Tony was born and raised in Elsies River in the 50s and made a name for himself as a session player touring with Paul Simon for 20 years and closer to home playing with Pacific Express.
Jack and Nigerian musician Bojali are equally talented so it promises to be a musical night to remember.
It’s all happening at the Catholic Welfare and Development (CWD) Cultural Hub, 146 Lawrence Road.
Entrance is R80 and you can call 083 886 7164 or 076 415 7244 for more info.
If you’re looking for some inspiration for your home then the Cape Homemakers Expo at the Cape Town Convention Centre is the place to be this weekend.
The annual DIY and renovation lovers’ show has something for everyone and for every room of the house, from the kitchen to the bathroom and alles in between.
The daily demo theatre is also a great spot to catch some tips and tricks to spruce up your home and garden.
Tickets are available at the door and are R70 to R80 per person.
Doors open at 10am daily.
