If you like it hot, don’t miss the Chilli Eating Competition at the Slow Market Stellenbosch on Saturday at 12pm.
The competition (at Oude Libertas Estate, Adams Tas Road) starts at 12pm, and you need to sign up beforehand if you want to be a part of the action.
Participants have to eat each chilli down to the stalk and hold up the stalk when they are done.
No spitting is allowed and there will be milk on the table to tempt you to cool down – but if you drink it you will be disqualified.
There are great prizes up for grabs for the brave winner.
