The distraught families of three missing meisies have appealed for people to come forward with information about their whereabouts.
The three, aged 12, 14 and 16, disappeared nearly two weeks ago.
Jodene Goliath, 12, Yolande Loodewyk, 16, and an unidentified 14-year-old were last seen together on 30 October in Delft.
The 14-year-old girl is said to be from Uitsig and the 16-year-old from Valhalla Park.
Jodene’s mom says she last saw her daughter on Sunday, October 30, when she asked to sleep over at a friend’s home.
“I was hesitant but I told her she can go as long as she comes home early on Monday morning to get ready for school,” says Shirlene Goliath.
“I left early on Monday morning so I didn’t see her.
“When I got home from work the afternoon, I noticed her clothes and school bag were untouched.”
She says the girls were last spotted going to a local shop.
Yolande’s mother, Gadeeja Kamara, 38, says she only found out her daughter was missing two days later when a friend called.
“She was in Delft with a family friend for two weeks. We were supposed to go back to my home in the Northern Cape but now she is missing. Last I heard she and the two other girls were spotted in Woodstock at KFC.
“She wasn’t a problem child, she’s very friendly.”
Kamara says she didn’t know the two other meisies.
