Tomorrow the Kaap is going to be a lot brighter when The Color Run bursts onto the scene in Green Point.
The annual event is called “the happiest 5km on the planet” and as you make your way along the course, coloured powder is showered on you.
Color runners need to be at the starting line at 2.30pm, and the gun goes off at 3pm.
Each set of runners starts the course three minutes apart and will be in groups of 500, so make sure you stay close to your friends and family at the start.
It will take about one to two hours to complete the route and afterwards there is a party waiting at the finish line.
There are a host of DJs on stage as well as performers like Acoustic Element, Blake Williams and Athlone pop star Jimmy Nevis.
Standard entry is R250 per person via the TixSA website and no separate cover charge is available for the colour festival after the race, so if you don’t do the 5km, you won’t get into the after party.
Old Skool Boogie is hitting the stage at the Artscape this weekend so take out your bell bottoms and platforms and have a jol.
For the past six years Ganarama Productions has been going down memory lane, playing all their disco favourites of yesteryear.
Expect to hear tunes from Elton John, Queen, Shirley Bassey, Donna Summer and many more.
The cast includes Gary Naidoo, Lucy Tops, Jon-E and Celeste Schoeman.
Shows are at 8pm tonight and Saturday and at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday, tickets are R130 and available from Computicket.
