An alleged gang boss has been gunned down outside his home by suspected rivals.
The 33-year-old was standing outside his Connaught Estate, Ravensmead, home when he was shot several times.
Scared eyewitnesses at the scene who spoke to the Daily Voice on condition of anonymity say the victim, known only as Mansoer, was a dik ding in the 28s gang.
“He wanted a lot of other people to join the gangs,” a resident says.
Police spokesperson Captain Frederick van Wyk says no one has been arrested.
“The shooting incident occurred [yesterday] morning on the corners of Galway and Firdale Street, Connaught Estate,” Van Wyk says.
“It is reported at about 8am a 33-year-old male was standing at the said address when he was approached by two unidentified suspects who fired several shots at him.
“He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body and subsequently died on the scene.
“A murder case was opened for investigation.
“No arrest has been made as yet,” Van Wyk says.
