The seventh season of SA’s Got Talent (SAGT) has a new funny man in the driving seat and he’s ready to entertain.
Comedian Tall Ass Mo replaces Tats Nkonzo, as host of the reality talent show when the new season kicks off on Sunday on e.tv.
Mo says the first round of auditions went well, but felt he needed to drop the funny man act to be there for nervous mense auditioning.
“I’m very compassionate, and I can tell when some people are under pressure and they already feel like they are going to buckle and cry,” he says.
It’s for this reason that he’s dropped the Tall Ass from his name for the show.
But the new host with the most says he is still human after all and there was one act that really stole his heart, and they are from the Cape, nogals.
At first Mo says: “You can’t have a favourite because it’s very difficult, you get attached to everybody on the show.”
Then he has a lekker laugh as he recalls two guys who auditioned at the Baxter Theatre when SAGT came to town.
“Lekker By Die See, they are two guys that are singing about beach songs, being at the beach,” he says
“They were so random and for me it was so funny because I understood where they were coming from and they sang music about just their day to day lives.”
Mo says viewers can expect a lot of fun and laughter this season.
