A postman is living the high life and has been given six months off work because he looks like England’s hottest football star, Jamie Vardy.

Vardy is the skraal, blitsvinnige striker that helped lowly Leicester City win the English Premier League title, beating high profile teams like Manchester United and Manchester City to top honours.

It helps that postman Lee Chapman, 29, the same age as Vardy, has been a fan of Leicester City all his life.

He tells The Mirror about his new-found fame: “It’s mental. I’m part of it. I’m a hardcore Foxes fan and now I’ve got fans of my own.

“Royal Mail are taking it in good spirit and have given me a six-month career break.

“But they want me to do charity work for the Stroke Association while I’m taking time out. I’m happy to do that.”

“I’ve been a Vardy double for less than two weeks and not stopped working.”

He says an agency specialising in hiring lookalikes of famous mense also now have him on their books.

Lee was even invited onto the Leicester team bus for their victory parade around the city after they clinched the title last week.

There are loads of selfies of him posing with a smiling Vardy, and it is hard to tell them apart.

Lee is now holding thumbs he may be invited along on the Foxes week-long holiday to Bangkok following their triumphant season.
