Eliminated Cape Idol’s doing well

Tebogo Louw, 24, from Stellenbosch

'Idols SA' was the best start to his career he could ever have wished for.

The last Cape Town Idols hopeful has fallen.

Contestant in Idols SA season 12, Tebogo Louw, says he has no regrets about not making the finale of the show.

Tebogo, 24, from Stellenbosch, was eliminated from the Mzansi Magic singing competition on Sunday after he made it to the Top 3.

He says: “Maybe there are some people who have been eliminated who were sad, but not me.”

“After I sang my single, there was nothing, not even the elimination that could overshadow that joy,” he adds.

Tebogo has recorded and released a reggae-rock track entitled Do It Again, which he sang on Sunday night moments before the voting results were announced.

There was a gap of 300 000 votes that separated him from the top two singers.

Tebogo says for now he plans on staying in Johannesburg because he wants to establish himself in the music industry and being in Jozi, he’ll be best placed to do that.

“You know Michael Jackson died, and he left behind the music. I want to make Michael Jackson forgettable,” he says.

“I set very high goals, some people would say it’s impossible but I know I can do it.”

Tebogo thanks all his fans who voted and says Idols SA was the best start to his career he could ever have wished for.
