Ajax CT and Chiefs played to a 0-0 draw

Ajax Cape Town's boss 'unfazed by draw'

Ajax Cape Town boss Roger de Sa says he is happy to come away with a point from Kaizer Chiefs.

His Urban Warriors were swak at Soccer City, wasting a number of chances to snatch all three points from Amakhosi on Saturday night in a goalless draw.

While the PSL title holders had most of the ball and play, the best opportunities fell to veteran Ajax hitman Nathan Paulse, who should have buried Chiefs.

De Sa says “First 45 was very poor. All-round football was poor, both teams to be honest, they edged it a bit.

“Second half we got a bit better, we had some clear chances, Nathan had two clear chances to maybe even win the game but at the end of the day it’s not a bad result for us, it’s OK.

“I told the players we were going to get 60-40 from the officials but I was wrong, but it’s fine, we fought hard.

“Overall it was okay, to come out here and get a point against Chiefs, they didn’t win last week so we knew they were going to be even more fired up…”

Chiefs coach Steve Komphela says he is running out of words after repeating familiar post-match comments following his sixth game without a win.

Komphela says: “If you were to go back and pull any clip where you have covered our match, you’ll find that this coach says the same thing. Probably this coach has run out of vocabulary.”
