The Mother City’s new PSL club Cape Town City FC will be looking to make it two from two at their new base, Cape Town Stadium, when they host Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 here tonight (8pm).
With Chiefs also playing a few of their home games at the stadium last season, the match will have a bit of a “derby” taste to it.
Cape Town FC already started stamping their authority on their new stomping ground when they beat Polokwane City 2-0 in their opening PSL fixture.
Chiefs, meanwhile, lost their season opener to Wits 2-1 and City coach Eric Tinkler believes the pressure is on the Glamour Boys to get a positive result.
Tinkler says: “The pressure is on them [Chiefs].
“After a first league match against Wits where both are title contenders‚ it was always going to be an interesting one to see who would come through that and, quietly, I am happy they lost because they are now under more pressure.”
