Cape snow fun

Winter wonderland fun for whole family.

Have a jol snowboarding at GrandWest.

Winter is here and if you really want to enjoy the season, then why not go snowboarding right here in Cape Town?

Sun Exhibits at GrandWest has been transformed into a magical wintery wonderland.

Organisers say: “There is a 40 metre long indoor snow slope set within the icy cold Snow Box. At 15 metres wide, the snow slope offers beginner lanes for novices and a more radical rail and jump section for more competent riders.”

Don’t worry, though, there is tuition offered for beginners who will have the chance to test their skills on a dry slope outside the Snow Box before taking on the real thing.

Snowboards and safety equipment required for the ramps are available for hire at the venue.

Snow World is open from noon to 11pm on Fridays, from 10am to 11pm on Saturdays and from 10am to 9pm on Sundays.

Tickets can be booked at or at Sun Exhibits.

Sessions are 45 minutes long, and prices range from R50 to R140 for a non-rider pass.
