Cops arrested a drug dealer with drugs to the value of nearly R1 million after a high-speed chase.
Constable Noloyiso Rwexana says members of the Khayelitsha Tactical Response Team made the big bust in Kraaifontein on Monday night.
“Members of the team were following up on information they received when they spotted a grey BMW in Kromboom Street, Scottsville.
“When the driver saw the police vehicle, he started to drive faster,” says Rwexana.
This led to a car chase but cops managed to stop the suspect.
“After searching the vehicle, they seized 31 000 Mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R916 000,” says Rwexana.
A suspect was arrested and is due to appear in court today.
