It’s the start of the school holidays this week and kids will be looking for something to do.
At Canal Walk, there is a great production of Robin Hood and the mall’s centre court has been transformed into Sherwood Forest and Nottingham Castle.
It’s a production by Fred Abrahamse and Marcel Meyer and it’s a play filled with wonderful music, and even a five metre tall talking tree!
The cast includes all the characters from the classic tale – Robin Hood, Maid Marian, Frier Tuck and the evil Sheriff of Nottingham.
Canal Walk is also collecting tinned foods for Mandela Day, celebrated next month.
Proceeds will go to LEAP schools, and patrons are encouraged to bring along a donation and it will be distributed to the charity.
The play starts today and there are three performances per day at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm.
Tickets are R75 and available from Computicket.
