Seven people who perished in a fire at their home in Eastridge, Mitchells Plain, will be laid to rest tomorrow.
Alfonzo Swartz, 35, his daughter Tamia Swartz, 22 months, Tamia’s siblings Cameron Fredericks, six, and Elmarie Fredericks, five, as well as their cousins Kyle, 18, Joshua, 13, and Nikita Abrahams, three, and Afrafaat Madatt, 14, all died in the fire in Macbeth Street on June 11. Arafaat was buried a day after the fire, according to Muslim tradition.
The funeral proceedings on Saturday will start at 8.30am at the house in Macbeth Street, for a street procession with school children and drum majorettes.
The service at 10am will be held at the Lentegeur Civic Centre.
They will be laid to rest at Klip Road Cemetery in Grassy Park.
