Arsenal boss targets three strikers

Arsenal are looking to add some more firepower to their attack this season, with Gunners looking at no less than three players.

Arsene Wenger is weighing up moves for Gonzalo Higuain, Mauro Icardi and Julian Draxler.

And the French boss’s move for 36-goal Napoli ace Higuain may have been given an unlikely boost by rivals Juventus.

Because of Juve and Napoli’s intense rivalry, Higuain’s club will not be keen to sell to their Serie A rivals.

Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi is also on Arsenal’s radar and his agent says: “There are many offers, but I do not negotiate with other clubs. I only talk about Mauro’s contract.

“Atletico, Tottenham and Arsenal have made contact. Napoli and Roma are also interested now.”

The Gunners are also said to be snooping around £55m Germany winger Julian Draxler, who Wenger believes he can turn into a frontman ala Robin van Persie.
