Amakhosi, Wits look to revive their season

KAIZER Chiefs and Wits will be hoping to get their PSL title challenge back on track this evening (7.30pm).

Second-placed Wits are 10 points off leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, while Amakhosi are a further three points back – both with a game in hand.

And Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson is wary of a Chiefs backlash following their Nedbank Cup elimination via archrivals Orlando Pirates on the weekend.

He says: “When you play against Chiefs, you are covered with the players’ part. You have to do the tactical work. If you do the tactical part correctly you can always win the game.”

Wits, meanwhile, are desperate for silverware, says goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs.

He says: “We want to end up with silverware at the end of the day because, as a footballer, it’s all about what you’ve won.
