Blue Downs cops nabbed 533 suspects for various crimes in a week-long clampdown in the area.
Police spokesman Captain FC van Wyk says: “These crimes include possession of unlicensed firearms, murder, hijacking, armed robbery and drunken driving.
“Drugs with an estimated street value of R1 000 and liquor to the estimated value of R6 000 have been confiscated.”
Seven unlicenced firearms were seized, including two shotguns and two R5 rifles.
On Friday, Delft cops caught a 42-year-old man in the process of committing a crime, with a pistol with the serial number filed off.
